A New Secondary Learning Pathway at SAF 1

Study Physically. Learn Together. Build Your Academic Pathway.

SAF 1 is preparing a new secondary learning program for families looking for an alternative to studying alone from home. Students will follow a structured academic pathway while benefiting from the physical learning environment of SAF 1—with teacher support, small groups, Arabic development, social interaction and real educational experiences. The academic pathway is being developed in partnership with Rabbanien Islamic University (RIU).

Limited places are planned for the founding cohort. Pre-registration is an expression of interest and does not constitute final admission.

Flexible academic pathwayCurriculum and assessment framework

Why this matters

Online education doesn’t have to mean learning alone.

A place to learn.
Teachers to support them.
Other students to interact with.
A daily structure.
A language environment.
Real experiences beyond the screen.

The SAF Secondary Program

The flexibility of distance education. The environment of physical learning.

Students follow an external academic pathway while coming to SAF 1 to study, receive support, interact with peers and participate in the wider SAF learning environment.

Subject to the final partnership agreement, RIU provides the academic framework, curriculum and materials, registration, assessment and examination framework, and certification.

Academic progression

A Secondary Academic Pathway

The secondary program offered by Rabbanien is designed to provide students with a structured academic pathway and, upon successful completion of the applicable requirements, the possibility of progressing toward higher studies within Rabbanien’s academic system.

Students participating through SAF 1 benefit from this academic pathway while studying within a physical, structured and supportive learning environment.

2

Live it socially.

Interaction with others in an Arabic-speaking environment.

3

Experience it naturally.

Real experiences where Arabic can become part of life.

Frequently asked questions

What families need to know

Is the SAF Secondary Program an online program?

The academic pathway uses the framework of our academic partner, while SAF 1 is developing a physical environment where students can study, receive support and interact with other learners.

Will students study physically at SAF 1?

Yes. The purpose is to provide a physical learning environment rather than leaving students to study entirely alone from home. Final attendance schedules will be communicated before enrollment.

Who provides the academic curriculum?

The pathway is being developed with Rabbanien Islamic University (RIU), which provides its academic framework and related curriculum or materials according to the partnership arrangement.

Who provides the certification?

Students who successfully complete the applicable academic and examination requirements receive the corresponding certificate through Rabbanien according to RIU’s certification procedures. The certificate belongs to the academic partner’s pathway; SAF 1 does not issue the secondary qualification.

Is the certificate recognized or equivalent in the UAE?

The RIU secondary program is primarily designed as a pathway toward further studies within Rabbanien’s academic system. SAF 1 does not currently represent the certificate as equivalent to a UAE Grade 12 certificate or as recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education. Families for whom UAE equivalency is essential should take this into consideration before final enrollment.

Can students progress to higher studies through RIU?

RIU describes its secondary program as a pathway toward its Bachelor’s studies, subject to RIU’s academic and admission requirements, with potential progression toward higher studies within its academic system.

Is this final enrollment?

No. Pre-registration expresses interest and helps SAF 1 understand the founding cohort. Final admission follows only after the structure, eligibility, fees and academic requirements are communicated and enrollment is completed.

When will the program start?

The founding cohort is currently being prepared. Pre-registered families will receive priority information when the final date and timetable are confirmed.

How many students will be accepted?

The first cohort will intentionally be limited to preserve small learning groups and close support.
